Forgotten – Book 3 of the McKenzie Ridge Series by Stephanie St. Klaire

Genres: Contemporary romance, suspense, mystery, western

Blurb: The peaceful life at McKenzie Ridge takes a turn when a stranger is found unconscious at Police officer Morgan Jameson’s ranch. When the stranger wakes up with no memory of himself or how he got there, Morgan takes the responsibility for keeping him till he recovers.

Despite his recovery, the stranger isn’t able to remember anything. Rather he feels at home while staying at the ranch and helping with the chores. He and Morgan spend a lot of time together which leads to an intimate relationship.

But unexplained things start happening at the ranch. Lives are put at risk when there are gun shots and arson. Suspicions are aroused that if it’s because of the mystery man or one of their own.

My Review: 5 Stars

I like this book because it’s not your typical romance. The identity of the mystery man isn’t revealed till the ending. Until that time, people of McKenzie Ridge had named the mystery man “Guy”.

Although Guy doesn’t mind what the people call him since he can’t remember who he is, he likes the ranch life and adopts to it. Most of the people welcome him into their fold and even try to help with the flashbacks he keeps having.

In the meantime Guy and Morgan get closer and fall in love with each other. Despite all this, many unusual incidents happen at the ranch. As Guy tries to help uncover the person behind all the happenings, he finally recalls who he is.

On the other hand, Morgan is perplexed with the incidents but has faith in Guy that he’s innocent. But when his identity is revealed how would that affect their relationship?

This is one book I highly recommend.
